We live in Washington DC.  Susan moved to DC in the summer of 2006 after graduating from Barnard College.  Scott graduated from Tulane University in 2002 and moved to Washington DC shortly thereafter.  After working in DC for two years Scott moved to Israel in order to begin a two year Master's Degree in Islamic and Middle East Studies.  Today Scott works in Washington DC and Susan is studying at the University of Maryland earning a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science.

We met while studying abroad in Israel at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  Check out the view from our University.

In the summer of 2004, our paths crossed due to mutual friends and late night poker games.  We started dating at the end of October and a few months later Susan left to go back to New York and Scott stayed in Israel.  Thanks to advances in technology, AKA , we could communicate across oceans easily and without spending a fortune. This is probably the reason that we are getting married.
